Excellence in Success Award 2025 Recognizes Debashis Das as Best Motion Graphics Artist

In yet another landmark moment for Bangladesh’s visual design and branding industry, acclaimed motion graphics designer and creative director Debashis Das has been awarded the prestigious “Best in Brand Communication 2024” by the renowned creative institution Laser Treat. This recognition celebrates his innovative, emotion-driven approach to digital media and television branding, and firmly places him among the top creative leaders in South Asia.

The award was presented at a special ceremony held in Uttara last Sunday, where Dr. Sarker Mahbub Ahmed Shamim, the founder of Laser Treat and a prominent figure in Bangladesh’s entrepreneurial and media scene, personally handed over the honor. The event brought together brand experts, corporate leaders, and media professionals from across the country, turning the evening into a celebration of creativity, storytelling, and design excellence.

For Debashis Das, the award is more than just a trophy—it is an acknowledgment of his transformative role in how brands communicate visually in today’s digital-first world. While most designers focus on aesthetics, Debashis is known for something deeper. He tells brand stories—not just through colors and shapes, but through emotional connections and visual narratives. This unique ability to infuse heart and meaning into design is exactly what set him apart and earned him the admiration of the Laser Treat jury panel.

Throughout his illustrious career spanning nearly two decades, Debashis has worked across multiple platforms—from television program branding and digital media campaigns to large-scale content communication strategies. He has served as a creative force behind some of the most recognizable visual identities in Bangladeshi broadcasting. His role as Deputy Manager of Graphics at Maasranga Television has allowed him to shape the branding of flagship programs, where his visual language has become a standard of excellence.

His award-winning work is not limited to broadcast media. Debashis is also deeply involved in the academic and mentorship ecosystem. He teaches motion graphics at the Pathshala South Asian Media Institute, and has also been a guest faculty member at Dhaka University, inspiring the next generation of designers with lessons that go beyond software tools. He brings to the classroom an understanding of branding psychology, emotional resonance, and storytelling—a rare combination that empowers students to think bigger and design smarter.

What makes Debashis a true leader in brand communication is his constant evolution. He adapts to platforms, audiences, and technologies while maintaining a signature style that is both contemporary and culturally grounded. His designs speak the language of modern viewers—clean, bold, meaningful—yet rooted in the traditions of storytelling and identity. Whether it’s a TV show opener, a digital campaign, or a social awareness video, his work resonates because it connects.

According to Laser Treat’s official statement, Debashis was selected not only for his artistic execution but also for the strategic thought behind his work. “A designer who understands the visual language of a brand is valuable. But one who can shape the emotional tone of that brand and communicate its story through visuals is exceptional,” said the jury. “Debashis Das is that exception.”

The Best in Brand Communication 2024 award is yet another accolade in a long list of achievements for Debashis this decade. From his recognition as the Digital Branding Leader of the Year at the Star Bangladesh Award to his recent South Asia Star Award and Bongo Gourab Samman, each honor solidifies his place as one of Bangladesh’s most impactful creative minds. His journey is not just about success—it’s about setting new benchmarks, inspiring others, and proving that creativity, when combined with vision, can shape the identity of a nation.
